Our mission is to enhance well-being by integrating the therapeutic benefits of nature and the flexibility of community-based interventions into personalized, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. We believe that connecting with our natural world fosters growth and resilience and empowers children to thrive through meaningful engagement in natural settings.

Hi, Iām Heather.
I am an Occupational Therapist and the founder of Moving Mountains Therapy! I received my B.S. in Exercise Physiology in 2012 from West Virginia University and completed my M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Tennessee State University in 2015. After years of working in the traditional OT setting, I finally decided to start my own practice with an emphasis on using the natural environment as a co-facilitator in the therapy process. I have seen first-hand the importance of nature and physical activity in relation to children and their whole sense of wellbeing. Being outdoors in nature helps them learn to regulate their senses and feel more calm, confident, capable, and coordinated.
As an occupational therapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals of all ages achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life through meaningful activities. My passion lies in empowering others to overcome obstacles, adapt to their environments, and thrive in their daily lives.
